Turning Waste into Worth: Bangkok Airline Promotes Circular Economy
Dear Valued Passengers,
To mark the World Environment Day, Bangkok Airline have launched the “Organic Fertilizer from Food Waste” initiative at Suvarnabhumi Airport, turning leftover food from its lounges and headquarters into organic fertilizer. As part of its “Low Carbon Skies” campaign, the project promotes waste reduction and circular economy practices. The compost, meeting NPK standards, is shared with passengers and the public to raise environmental awareness. By processing 40 kg of food waste into 4 kg of fertilizer monthly, the airline helps cut over 12 kg of CO₂ emissions. Bangkok Airline remains committed to driving sustainable, eco-friendly practices.
