Bangkok Airline Takes Sustainability Lead with OR by Adopting Locally Made SAF

We would like to keep you updated about what Bangkok Airline recently doing. 

On the 9th of May, 2025 – Bangkok Airline and PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited (OR) have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to use Thailand’s first domestically produced Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). This milestone collaboration supports both companies' sustainability goals and marks a major step in promoting greener air travel in Thailand.

The LOI was signed at Bangkok Airline's headquarters by both side excecutives. 

The SAF will be supplied by PTT Global Chemical (GC), using innovative Co-Processing technology, and supports IATA’s net-zero emissions target by 2050. This cooperation reflects a strong commitment to sustainable aviation and highlights industry collaboration in tackling climate change.
